Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of Everthread’s managed resale service.
Please read them carefully before sending items to us. By asking Everthread to provide resale services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Everthread
Everthread provides a fully managed resale service for suitable pre-owned clothing, handbags and other items that we agree to accept.
We research, prepare, photograph, price, list and manage the resale of accepted items through third-party resale marketplaces and other appropriate sales channels.
For enquiries, please contact:

2. How the service works
You provide or send items to Everthread for assessment.
We decide which items are suitable for our managed resale service, taking into account factors including:
brand;
condition;
likely resale value;
current demand;
seasonality; and
the likely cost and effort involved in selling the item.
Receipt of a parcel does not automatically mean every item within it has been accepted for resale.
Once items have been assessed, we may:
accept them for resale;
ask you for further information;
recommend that particular items are returned;
recommend donation or recycling, with your agreement; or
decline items that are unsuitable for the service.
We will not knowingly donate or dispose of an item without your authority.
3. Ownership of your items
You retain ownership of your items until they are sold.
By placing an item with Everthread, you authorise us to market, list and arrange the sale of that item on your behalf through the resale channels we consider appropriate.
4. Your responsibilities
You confirm that:
you own the items you provide to Everthread or have the owner’s authority to sell them;
you have the legal right to sell them;
the information you provide about them is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
the items are genuine and not counterfeit;
they are not stolen;
you have disclosed any material faults, damage, alterations or authenticity concerns that you are aware of; and
their sale would not infringe another person’s rights.
Everthread will not knowingly list counterfeit, stolen or unlawfully obtained goods.
If we have concerns about an item’s authenticity or ownership, we may decline or withdraw it from sale.
Where specialist authentication is appropriate, we will discuss this with you before incurring any material third-party authentication charge.
5. Items we accept
Our acceptance criteria may change according to resale demand.
We generally focus on good-quality premium high-street, contemporary and designer items with sufficient resale value to justify a managed resale service.
We may decline any item which, in our reasonable opinion, is unlikely to be commercially viable to sell.
We do not currently accept:
fast-fashion items;
underwear;
men’s clothing; or
shoes,
unless expressly agreed in advance.
6. Condition
Items should normally be clean and in excellent or very good resale condition unless otherwise agreed.
Normal signs of previous wear may be acceptable depending on the item, brand and likely resale value.
We may decline items with significant staining, damage, odour, excessive wear, missing components or other issues that materially reduce their resale potential.
7. Receipt and inventory
Once a collection has been received and assessed, Everthread will create a record of the items accepted into the service.
Where you arrange your own postage or courier, responsibility for the parcel remains with you until it has been successfully delivered to Everthread.
We strongly recommend using a tracked service with insurance appropriate to the value of the contents.
8. Pricing
Everthread researches the resale market and sets asking prices using factors including:
original retail value where known;
brand;
age;
condition;
recent comparable sales;
current listings;
rarity;
seasonality; and
current demand.
Resale prices cannot be guaranteed.
You authorise Everthread to make reasonable pricing decisions and to adjust asking prices over time to improve the likelihood of sale.
Where we have expressly agreed a minimum selling price with you in writing, we will not intentionally sell below that minimum without your agreement.
9. Offers and price reductions
Resale platforms commonly allow buyers to make offers.
Everthread may accept reasonable offers where we consider them commercially appropriate, taking into account current market value, how long the item has been listed and buyer demand.
We may periodically reduce prices or relist items to improve visibility and increase the likelihood of sale.
10. Sales platforms
Items may be marketed through one or more resale channels, which may include:
Vinted;
eBay;
Vestiaire Collective; and
other appropriate resale marketplaces or channels.
The choice of platform is made according to the item and the market we believe is most likely to achieve an appropriate sale.
Third-party resale platforms operate under their own terms, buyer-protection policies and return procedures.
11. Commission and client proceeds
Everthread operates on a commission basis.
The commission structure applicable to your collection will be explained before or when your items are accepted into the service.
Clients receive at least 50% of the Net Sale Proceeds, with a higher percentage applying to qualifying higher-value sales in accordance with Everthread’s current commission structure.
For these Terms, Net Sale Proceeds means the amount actually received from a completed sale after any applicable marketplace charges, transaction charges, refunds and other directly attributable sale costs that apply to that transaction.
12. When a sale is complete
A sale is not treated as complete simply because a buyer has placed an order.
Depending on the resale platform, a transaction may remain subject to:
buyer cancellation;
delivery;
inspection;
platform buyer-protection procedures;
returns;
disputes; or
payment release.
A sale is treated as completed once the relevant transaction has concluded successfully and the resale platform has released the funds.
13. Client payments
Unless otherwise agreed, client proceeds will be paid once all items in the relevant collection have completed their sales cycle.
A collection will normally be treated as complete once all items have:
sold;
been returned;
been donated with the client’s agreement;
been withdrawn from sale by agreement; or
otherwise reached an agreed conclusion.
Where appropriate, Everthread may agree an earlier or alternative payout arrangement with the client.
We will provide sufficient information for the client to understand sale values and how their proceeds have been calculated.
14. Returns and cancelled sales
Buyers may have return, cancellation or dispute rights under the rules of the marketplace through which the item was sold.
If an item is returned, refunded or a sale is otherwise reversed, it will not be treated as a completed sale.
Where appropriate, the item may be relisted.
15. Standard listing period
Everthread will normally agree to list accepted items for an initial period of 120 days.
If an item remains unsold after 120 days, we may contact the client to agree the next step.
Options may include:
continuing to list the item;
reducing the price;
returning the item;
donating the item with the client’s consent; or
another mutually agreed option.
No unsold item will knowingly be donated without the client’s agreement.
16. Withdrawal of unsold items
A client may request the return of unsold items, subject to reasonable notice.
The client may be responsible for the reasonable cost of return postage unless otherwise agreed.
Items that are subject to an active buyer transaction normally cannot be withdrawn until that transaction has concluded.
17. Care of items and liability
Everthread will take reasonable care of items while they are in our possession and will provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where the client arranges their own shipping to Everthread, Everthread is not responsible for loss or damage occurring before successful delivery to us.
We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
18. Cancellation rights
If you enter into the service agreement with Everthread online, by email or otherwise at a distance, statutory cancellation rights may apply.
Where applicable, you may have a 14-day cancellation period.
If you ask Everthread to begin providing the resale service during that cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly request that work begins immediately.
If you later cancel after work has begun at your express request, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for services already provided, where permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
19. Ending the service
Either the client or Everthread may end the arrangement on reasonable notice.
If the service ends, we will agree what should happen to:
unsold items;
transactions already in progress;
completed sales awaiting payment; and
return-postage costs.
20. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please contact:
We will aim to deal with concerns promptly, fairly and transparently.
21. Referral partners and collaborations
Everthread may work with personal stylists, professional organisers, wardrobe consultants and other businesses who introduce clients to the service.
Referral arrangements are non-exclusive unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Referral commission
Where a client is introduced to Everthread by an approved referral partner, Everthread may pay the partner a referral commission.
Unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing, the standard partner referral payment is:
10% of Everthread’s commission actually received from completed sales attributable to the referred client.
The referral payment:
comes entirely from Everthread’s share;
does not reduce the client’s proceeds;
is only earned where a sale successfully completes;
is not payable on cancelled, refunded or reversed transactions; and
is calculated from Everthread’s actual commission, not from the gross selling price.
Ongoing referred-client relationship
Unless otherwise agreed, a client introduced by a referral partner will remain recorded as that partner’s referral for future qualifying collections.
The partner will therefore continue to receive 10% of Everthread’s commission from completed sales arising from future qualifying collections submitted by that referred client.
Everthread may amend or end a referral arrangement prospectively on reasonable notice.
Any referral commission already earned, or attributable to a collection already accepted by Everthread before notice of the change, will remain payable.
Transparency
Referral partners should make clients aware, where appropriate, that they may receive a financial benefit from introducing them to Everthread.
Partner responsibilities
Referral partners must not:
guarantee that an item will be accepted;
guarantee a selling price;
guarantee how quickly an item will sell;
alter Everthread’s commission or payout terms;
make contractual commitments on Everthread’s behalf; or
make claims about Everthread that are inaccurate or unauthorised.
Partners may help identify potentially suitable items and may facilitate packing or postage where the client has authorised them to do so.
Client relationship
Unless separately agreed in writing, the resale contract is between Everthread and the client.
The referral partner is not responsible for Everthread’s performance of the resale service.
Everthread is not responsible for the partner’s separate styling, organising, wardrobe-editing or other professional services.
No legal partnership or agency
A referral arrangement does not create:
an employment relationship;
a legal partnership;
a joint venture; or
a general agency relationship.
Neither party has authority to enter into contracts or incur liabilities on behalf of the other unless expressly agreed in writing.
Client information
A referral partner should only provide personal information about a client to Everthread where the client has agreed to the introduction or where another lawful basis applies.
22. Changes to these Terms
Everthread may update these Terms from time to time if our service, commission structure, resale platforms or legal obligations change.
The Terms applying to an accepted collection will normally be those agreed when that collection was accepted unless a later change is expressly agreed.
23. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
